Japanese Traditional Toothpowder Recipe

Natural salt is alternative to toothpaste in Japan for a long time. Natural salt can be a natural cleanser and whitener for your teeth. Old Japanese people used to brush their tooth with sea salt! I was skeptical of this but I was feeling adventurous so I decided to give it a try. Well, I was not disappointed. Yes it tastes salty, but I find it cleans well!

To use, simply tap a damp toothbrush into a jar of salt. I use a tiny spoon to scoop this out of the jar, rather than put my brush into the jar, which seems like it would contaminate if you share this with multiple people in your household. Then brush as you normally would do. Sea salt is safe you could eat them.
